Dear Hill Community,
We are about to begin our last full week of school this spring! As a reminder, there is no school Monday, May 25th for a student and staff holiday.
We know our community is awaiting more information regarding budget updates for the 26-27 school year that may affect Hill School. We have previously shared information that can be found here from AISD. Once we have further information to share that is updated and appropriate, we will certainly do so. One way you can help support our school is by registering your student for next year! If you have not done so, you can use this link.
The annual Graduating Senior Walk is Tuesday, May 26th: We will host graduating seniors as they return to Hill for an assembly presentation and graduation walk on May 27th. If you have or know an interested senior, they can wear their cap & gown or a college shirt and begin gathering out front. At 7:25 am or so, we will begin bringing in all present seniors to our cafeteria stage area for a special assembly. At the assembly, we will have students quickly share about themselves and a favorite Hill memory. For those not interested in being on stage, we will have those students go to the library to wait. We will also be announcing winners of the Suzanne and Vincent Torres Hill Elementary Alumni Scholarship at the assembly. Following this, we will all move to the library to begin the graduation walk, likely around 8:00 am or so. We look forward to celebrating the graduating class of 2026! Parents/guardians interested can view the assembly in the very back of the gym and view the walk by the yellow brick wall in the front of the school. All visiting parents/guardians should check into the office prior to viewing the events.
5th Grade Families: Be on the lookout in the next couple of weeks for our special 5th grade end of the year activities information through Ms. Bayer’s weekly emails. Just a heads up she has been sharing important information with more to come.

¡Estamos a punto de comenzar nuestra última semana completa de clases esta primavera! Como recordatorio, no habrá clases el lunes 25 de mayo debido a un feriado para estudiantes y personal.
Sabemos que nuestra comunidad está esperando más información sobre las actualizaciones del presupuesto para el año escolar 26-27 que podrían afectar a la Escuela Hill. La Caminata Anual de Graduados es el martes 26 de mayo : Recibiremos a los graduados cuando regresen a Hill para una presentación en la asamblea y la caminata de graduación el 27 de mayo. Si tienen o conocen a algún estudiante de último año interesado, pueden usar su toga y birrete o una camiseta de la universidad y comenzar a reunirse afuera. Alrededor de las 7:25 a. m., comenzaremos a traer a todos los estudiantes de último año presentes al área del escenario de nuestra cafetería para una asamblea especial. En la asamblea, los estudiantes compartirán brevemente información sobre sí mismos y un recuerdo favorito de Hill. Quienes no deseen participar en el escenario, esperarán en la biblioteca. También anunciaremos a los ganadores de la Beca para Exalumnos de la Escuela Primaria Suzanne y Vincent Torres Hill. Posteriormente, nos dirigiremos a la biblioteca para comenzar la ceremonia de graduación, probablemente alrededor de las 8:00 a. m. ¡Esperamos celebrar la graduación de la generación de 2026! Los padres o tutores interesados pueden ver la asamblea en la parte trasera del gimnasio y la ceremonia junto al muro de ladrillos amarillos en la entrada de la escuela.
