Teacher Appreciation Week is this week! Below is the plan/suggestions from our Hill PTA on how to recognize our teachers. Dillo Cheer to the amazing group of educators that make Hill School the special place it is each and every day! Be sure to recognize them this week.

Teacher Appreciation Planning from PTA: We have several activities planned to make sure our teachers feel extra special each day. Below is a breakdown of all that’s planned — and see below for information on how you can help support our Specials (PE/Art/Music) teachers. Here’s to an exciting week of celebrating the teachers who do so much for our Dillos.

• Monday:  Shower them with Flowers & Sugar!

PTA provides treats in the afternoon in the teachers lounge. Each class can bring a flower arrangement from the class or a single stem to their teacher. (Don’t forget about TA's, PE/ART/Music teachers)!

• Tuesday: Sip, Sip, Hooray!

Children make a card or note for their teacher and bring your Teacher's favorite drink. (Don’t forget about TA's, PE/ART/Music teachers)!

• Wednesday: Color Me Grateful!

PTA provides a Luncheon for the teachers & staff from Honest Mary's. Students wear their teacher's favorite color! Find that info HERE.

• Thursday: All That and a Bag of Chips!

The class brings a snack/treat or lunch for their teacher (Don’t forget about TA's, PE/ART/Music teachers).

• Friday: Bagels and Big Thanks!

PTA Provides Bagels and Coffee in the teachers lounge and each class has the option to give their teacher an end of year gift.  Need ideas? Check out PTA marketplace and find your teachers' favorites HERE.

We are also doing a collection for all of our "Specials" teachers (PE/MUSIC/ART) and will provide a schoolwide end of year gift for each of them. Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck will be at Hill on Wednesday, May 6 from 7:00am -9:00am! Please consider donating toward Tom’s for Teachers — all donations will go toward treating our teachers and staff to a delicious beverage! As an added bonus, your donations also help raise funds for Hill! Let’s show our teachers some love as a thank you for all they do! Please donate here. And grab some coffee for yourself that morning!

Bike to School Day is this Wednesday, May 6th! For those able, take advantage of getting that exercise and enjoying that outdoor time as a family. Organizing bike groups is encouraged as well! See the Dillo Details for information.

This past week, applications for next year's Safety Patrol group went out. All 4th graders had the opportunity to hear about Safety Patrol with their homeroom class and pick up an application. The deadline to turn in applications is Friday, May 8th. Applications are turned in at the office. If your child has questions about Safety Patrol or the application process, please encourage them to check in with Ms. Selig.

Esta semana se celebra la Semana de Agradecimiento a los Maestros! A continuación, les presentamos el plan y las sugerencias de la Asociación de Padres y Maestros de Hill para reconocer la labor de nuestros docentes. ¡Un fuerte aplauso para el increíble grupo de educadores que hacen de la Escuela Hill un lugar tan especial cada día! No olviden reconocer su labor esta semana.

Planificación de Agradecimiento a los Maestros de la PTA: Tenemos varias actividades planeadas para asegurarnos de que nuestros maestros se sientan muy especiales cada día. A continuación, se muestra un resumen de todo lo planeado, y vea más abajo para obtener información sobre cómo puede ayudar a apoyar a nuestros maestros de Especiales (Educación Física/Arte/Música). • Miércoles: ¡Coloréame Agradecido!

• Jueves: ¡Todo eso y una bolsa de papas fritas!

La clase trae un refrigerio/dulce o almuerzo para su maestro (no se olviden de los asistentes de maestro, maestros de educación física/arte/música).

• Viernes: ¡Bagels y mucho agradecimiento!

La PTA ofrece bagels y café en la sala de maestros y cada clase tiene la opción de darle a su maestro un regalo de fin de año. ¿Necesitas ideas? Visita el mercado de la PTA y encuentra los favoritos de tus maestros AQUÍ .

También estamos organizando una colecta para todos nuestros profesores de asignaturas especiales (Educación Física, Música y Arte) y les daremos un regalo de fin de curso a cada uno. Si les interesa contribuir con entre 2 y 5 dólares, sería fantástico.
