Dillo News

An Update from Principal Drummond 9/14/25

Dear Hill Community, It is International Reading Week at Hill! A reminder that we invite our Hill families to share their cultural heritage with the community. The Hill Heritage Parade is this Friday, September 19 after morning assembly. Students can wear cultural attire and/or wave flags. Participation is optional but encouraged! Parents are also invited to read a short book to their child’s class about their culture, a tradition, or in another language. This is a special tradition at Hill School that has moved to the fall this year to ensure more participation. Sign up here to participate. Contact culturalcommittee@hillelementary.com with any questions you may have.

An Update from Principal Drummond 9/7/25

Dear Hill Community, We are going into the fourth week of school, and we are proud of how our Dillos have met expectations and done their Dillo Best! Thank you for your partnership and follow-up at home with our Hill Agreements. We want to invite you to our first Principal Coffee of the year on Thursday, September 18th at 7:45 am in our Hill Library. Our main topic will be the School Consolidations process with a video and survey from AISD. We will also do an introduction of the school year, discuss future bond construction, and state accountability. We will give another reminder next weekend.

An Update from Principal Drummond 8/31/25

Dear Hill Community,  We hope everyone’s three-day weekend is off to a nice start. This is a reminder that there is no school tomorrow (Monday), 9/1. Please know that all student holidays are listed on the inside cover of our weekly take-home folders that are orange for your planning. We will see everyone back on campus on Tuesday.
