Dear Hill Community,
We hope everyone had a safe Halloween who participated. We want to remind everyone that this Tuesday, 11/4 is a professional learning day for staff. There is no school this Tuesday on Election Day. Thank you for having a plan for your student.
We want to invite our Hill Community to a Principal Coffee this Thursday, November 6th at 7:45 am in our Hill Library. AISD Board Trustee Kathryn Whitley Chu will join us. We hope to see you there and apologize for the short notice.
Reminder that Hill Carnival is Next Sunday: We are one week away from the annual Hill Carnival on Sunday, November 9th from 2:00-4:00 pm. You can purchase wristbands for students here to participate in events, as well as purchase tickets for the dunk tank where staff will be ready!. Purchase before noon this Thursday, November 6 to avoid the will call lines and pick yours up before or after school on Friday, November 7, 2025. We appreciate anyone who can sign up for a volunteer slot at your class’s booth as many are still needed to make this a success.
The Hill Veterans Day Assembly is Tuesday, November 11th. We invite our Hill Community to honor a Veteran in their family by providing a picture and submitting it with this form. Please submit the veteran’s name, places they served, and their relationship to the student. These will be collected in an envelope in the front office.
Please donate extra candy you have to the front office this week! It will go to great use as prizes for our school carnival, and any remaining candy will be donated to Soldiers’ Angels, who send care packages to our Troops. We appreciate the support and hope it can help get some sugar out of your house as well!
Hill is looking for community members willing to support with 2-hour shifts to assist with safety on campus through our Watch D.O.G.S. Program. This volunteer support involves keeping an eye around campus and is very simple, especially for folks who may work remotely but want to support. Visit https://hillelementary.com/

Support Teachers Through PTA Lunch Drop-Off: Join the Kindness Crew! Let's show our amazing teachers and staff some extra love this year with a simple lunch drop off — once in November and once in March. How it Works: Choose a teacher or staff member from the sign up HERE. Choose your day: Deliver one lunch during each "Drop Week", November 10-14 and March 2-6. Your Commitment: By signing up, you are committing to both "Drop Weeks" for that teacher/staff member. Can't commit to two dates? Please consider signing up as a Backup Giver. We'll contact back ups if a staff member isn't covered or in the event someone is unable to make their delivery. Recordatorio: ¡El Carnaval de Hill es el próximo domingo! Falta solo una semana para el Carnaval anual de Hill, que se celebrará el domingo 9 de noviembre de 14:00 a 16:00. Pueden comprar pulseras para que los estudiantes participen en las actividades, así como boletos para el tanque de agua, ¡donde el personal estará listo! Compren sus boletos antes del mediodía de este jueves 6 de noviembre para evitar las filas y recójanlos antes o después de clases el viernes 7 de noviembre de 2025. Agradecemos a quienes puedan inscribirse como voluntarios para el puesto de su clase, ya que aún se necesitan muchos para que el evento sea un éxito .
La asamblea del Día de los Veteranos de Hill se llevará a cabo el martes 11 de noviembre. Invitamos a nuestra comunidad de Hill a honrar a un veterano de su familia enviando una fotografía junto con este formulario. Por favor, incluya el nombre del veterano, los lugares donde prestó servicio y su parentesco con el estudiante. La información se recogerá en un sobre en la oficina principal.
¡Por favor, dona los dulces que te sobren en la oficina principal esta semana! Nos serán de gran utilidad como premios para nuestra feria escolar, y los que sobren se donarán a Soldiers' Angels, que envía paquetes de ayuda a nuestras tropas. ¡Agradecemos tu apoyo y esperamos que también te ayude a reducir el consumo de azúcar en casa!

Tu compromiso: Al inscribirte, te comprometes a entregar almuerzos durante ambas "Semanas de Entrega" para ese maestro o miembro del personal. ¿No puedes comprometerte con las dos fechas? Considera inscribirte como voluntario suplente. Nos pondremos en contacto con los suplentes si un miembro del personal no puede cubrir su turno o si alguien no puede realizar la entrega.
